Hawthorne & Co. was founded in 1998 by Daniel Hawthorne, a second-generation painter who learned the trade on his father's commercial crews in Portland. What began as a one-truck operation now employs a team of fifteen full-time craftspeople, all trained in-house.
We've stayed deliberately small. Our crews never juggle more than four projects at once, which means the same lead painter who shakes your hand on day one will still be there on the last walkthrough.
Every job starts with thorough prep — scraping, sanding, patching, and priming — because no finish coat can fix a rushed surface. It's why our clients call us back ten and fifteen years later.
